Thursday, March 11, 2010
Philadelphia Business Journal

US Airways Group Inc. will begin selling tickets March 13 for a new Philadelphia-to-Halifax, Nova Scotia, route. It is also adding flights between Charlotte, N.C., and Canada and Mexico.

The other new one-stop destinations are Ottawa in Canada and Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos in Mexico. Daily flights out of Charlotte to Ottawa will begin May 31 and flights to the Mexican destinations will begin June 5. US Airways (NYSE:LCC) already offers service to the two Mexican cities from its Phoenix hub.

US Airways will begin the Halifax run from Philadelphia International Airport, where it is the dominant carrier, on June 1.
